Most residential roof installations are completed in 1 to 3 days depending on the size of the home and the roofing material being installed. Metal roof installations typically take a day or two longer than asphalt shingles due to the precision required for panel alignment and flashing.
Can you install a new roof over my existing shingles?
While building code allows a second layer of shingles in some cases, we strongly recommend a full tear-off down to the deck. This lets us inspect and repair any underlying damage, ensure proper underlayment coverage, and gives you a roof that lasts longer and performs better.
What warranty do you offer on new roofs?
You get two layers of protection: the manufacturer warranty on materials, which ranges from 25 years to lifetime depending on the product, plus our own workmanship warranty. As certified installers for GAF, CertainTeed, and Owens Corning, we can offer their enhanced warranty programs.
What is the best time of year to replace a roof in Michigan?
Late spring through early fall is ideal since warmer temperatures help asphalt shingles seal properly. However, we install roofs year-round in Northern Michigan. Winter installations require some additional precautions, but we have the experience to do them safely and correctly when timing is critical.
Do I need to be home during the installation?
You do not need to be home for the entire installation. We do ask that you are available for the initial walkthrough and the final inspection so we can review the completed work together. Our crew is fully insured and will treat your property with respect throughout the process.
